The recent happenings in the world today is a thing to be concerned.
The economical challenges of nations, the fear of the deadly disease covid-19, the cry of leaders, the uncertainty of life is a reason to ask yourself again “ why am I still here”?
The fact that I wasn’t swallowed up by the world’s crisis is a reason why I ask, “why am I still here”?
And then, I wonder when I hear people complain of how they lost this and that or how they didn’t achieve all their plans. They angrily say “ I really planned for 2020, all just didn’t go as expected”. My consistent response to their complaints is “why are you still here”?
If those who lost their lives could take turns in requests, they probably would prefer to loose business plans than to loose their lives.
Psalm 43:5 KJV- “Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God”.
And then I remember the scripture in psalm 43:5 of God being our salvation. You are still here because the mercies of God sustained you. You are still here because God has it all figured out, you are still here because the reason for your existence is yet to be fulfilled.
Our hope and anchor is in the lord, things didn’t go as you planned but things can turn around for your good, that is why you are still here.
Abba (Father God) has good plans for you, He got it all figured out, that’s why you are still here.
Isaiah 43:2 “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.”
This is the word of the lord for you, He is always present even in the midst of crisis, that’s why you are still here.
God is still in the line of helping and blessing His own and you are not an exception.
That’s why you are still here.
