The divine placement

A generation is a set of the people born and living at about the same time, regarded collectively.

You are born in a time where you either make an impact or you don’t, a time to either serve your generation or not.

You cannot live in every generation, you can only live in your own generation, this is the divine placement from the Lord. This simply states that there is no better time to serve than this time, there is no better time to make an impact than now.

For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption: Act 14:36

The Bible explains that David served his generation according to the will of God before he passed on. He lived a life of purpose, he gave his all through service to God and humanity. David risked his life severally, in other to save his generation. He saw a need to fight for his people using resources he had and God helped him.

“Then Mordecai told them to reply to Esther, ‘Do not imagine that you in the king’s palace can escape any more than all the Jews. For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place and you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not attained royalty for such a time as this?’” Esther 4:13-14 (NASB)

Esther needed to be reminded by Mordecia. There is a reason why you are here at this time, there is a reason why your present life condition is like this, there is a reason why you get broken by some happenings in your world,

You need to realize that you are born for such a time as this. You cannot give up on your generation when the heavens is demanding of you service to God and humanity, a change can begin with you. Start with your immediate community and trust God for a change according to His power at work in you.

She was compelled to risk her life, her inheritance and position with no guarantee of a positive result. That’s the “for such a time as this” Mordecai challenged Esther to take up.

Service to God and humanity is what ministry is about. We must not get too caught up in personal agenda that we forget the kingdoms agenda. Kingdom agenda is not only seen in the four walls of the church but can be seen outside the church as well.

Lives can be spared in our culture today, when we step to true service even if entails you sacrificing a lot.

God placed you here for such a time as this, live like you are the solution to the problem, serve your generation heartily and trust God for a change.

Prayer:-

Lord turn my heart to you and help me to live the life that you have called me into. Help me to walk in your ordained purpose and will for my life. Help me to serve you and my generation genuinely in Jesus name I pray. Amen.
